About Foundation

Russian foundation for the advancement of cardiology "Cardioprogress" was established in 2012 at the initiative of academician RAMS Oganov RG. Objective is to attract attention to the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease in Russia, as well as addressing the major challenges to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events, cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.

"Knowledge, observation, movement" is the motto of the Foundation  "Cardioprogress", and reflect the three main areas of activity - education, research, publication

The main functions of the Foundation "Cardioprogress" are:

Educational Projects

Educational Projects is one of the priorities of the Foundation. Consistency, frequency and availability are the main characteristics of the training programs of the Foundation.

Accreditation of educational programs by the European Council for Accreditation in Cardiology EBAC is immediate objective of the Fund.

Educational Activities of the Foundation include retreats, conferences, schools, and distance education courses, webinars, web conferencing.
The most important priorities of the Fund are active educational work among the population, promotion of healthy lifestyles.

Scientific researches

One of the leading destinations of the Foundation "Cardioprogress" is conducting large-scale national and international clinical, clinical and epidemiological, prospective and other studies initiated by the expert council of the Foundation or the leading research centers, institutes and other government and scientific institutions.
Multicenter clinical-epidemiological population-based study is ongoing (initiated by the expert council of the Fund), and includes several centers in Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan. In 2013, a joint clinical study is planned with the Lithuanian Society of Cardiology.

Information and publishing activity

The official website of the Foundation is www.cardioprogress.ru. The site includes daily updated news, a calendar of Russian and international scientific events, educational projects, educational materials, clinical trials. 
 Foundation "Cardioprogress" provides a broad editorial and publishing activities, as a founder of the quarterly newsletter "Cardioprogress", "International Journal of Cardiology," and the journal "Metabolism and physical illness."
