Acute Myocarditis Riskier Than Unexplained Chest Pain Despite being younger and having fewer comorbidities, patients with acute myocarditis (AM) had a significantly higher risk for 30-day and long-term mortality than those with unexplained chest pain.

Effect of BMI on Cardiovascular Risk in Rheumatoid Arthritis Varies by Antibody Status and Biologic Use Body mass index (BMI) influenced cardiovascular risk in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), with the effects varying according to anti–citrullinated protein antibody (ACPA) status and use of biologics. BMI was inversely associated with lower cardiovascular risk in ACPA-negative patients on biologics.

Sleep Disorders Linked to Aortic Stenosis Having any sleep disorder was independently linked to a higher likelihood for developing aortic stenosis, although dyslipidemia appeared to be an important mediator of the risk.

Age of menopause, healthy lifestyle and cardiovascular disease in women: a prospective cohort study Menopause is a timely opportunity to screen for cardiovascular disease (CVD) and intervene with healthier lifestyles. Scientists investigated the association between premature/early menopause and the likelihood of CVD and whether a healthy lifestyle is associated with a lower likelihood of CVD in menopausal woman.

Few Women Screened for Diabetes, Dyslipidemia Postpartum Screening for cardiovascular risk factors after pregnancy-related hypertension or diabetes may be suboptimal during the year after giving birth, data indicated.
