The 2nd Moscow International Cardiologists Forum (hereafter the Forum) was successfully completed. The Forum took place in the new building of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences on 26 and 28 March 2013 in Moscow.

First Moscow International Cardiologists Forum was one of the big research activities of specialists in the different fields of cardiology and related fields of medicine.  A lot of  doctors attended Forum - 1650 professionals including 120 participants from CIS countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine) and  20 participants from another countries (Turkey – 4 participants, Holland – 2 participants, USA – 3 participants, Italy – 2 participants, India – 9 participants).

The level of scientific and educational activities of the Forum was high, so leading Russian and foreign scientists, clinicians, talented teachers and health care attended the Forum. Chief cardiologist of the Health Ministry of Russian Federation, Academician of RAS and RAMS Chazov E. made a speech during the opening ceremony. Vice-President of the Federation Council Orlova S.Y. said greetings on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation and expressed willingness to support the work of the Moscow International Cardiologists Forum and cardiac services in general.

 The main scientific directions of the Forum were:

- Improving the management of cardiac patients
- Emergency and first aid for cardiovascular disease
- Routine clinical examination of cardiac patients
- Prevention of cardiovascular disease at the population and individual

-New medical technologies in the treatment and prevention of cardiac patients
-Interventional cardiology and surgical treatments for cardiovascular disease
-Problems of rehabilitation of cardiac patients

The informational partners were magazines "Cardiovascular therapy and prevention", "Rational Pharmacotherapy in Cardiology", "Cardiology" and newspaper "Medical Journal".

All stages of the Forum’s preparing and its scientific program were available on the Internet on the official site www.cardioprogress.ru. Announcements and official documents were posted on the partner sites: www.roscardio.ru, www.internist.ru, www.esculap-med.ru.

Orders for Moscow and Moscow region had issued for the formal participation of specialists in the Forum.

Information letter and the scientific program were included in the calendar of events of the World Heart Federation (http://www.world-heart-federation.org/congress-and-events/events-calendar/) and the European Society of Cardiology (http://www.escardio.org/congresses/world-cardio-agenda/Pages/welcome.aspx).

The opening ceremony of the Moscow International Cardiologists Forum was broadcast in 54 cities of Russia in real time, as well as online www.Internist.ru.

The scientific program, abstract book (includes 360 works), the exhibition catalog of industry partners have been published to the Forum. At the same time a special edition of the newsletter «Kardioprogress» was issued.

The scientific program of the Forum was attended by three Russian scientific societies and associations, the Turkish Society of Cardiology and the Italian Federation of Cardiology.

The scientific program included two plenary sessions with 6 leading international experts, 48 scientific sessions, satellite symposia, lectures, meetings with experts, schools for doctors, debating sessions, interactive discussions, clinical debate and two-day poster session on topical issues of the organization , diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases.

The scientific program of the Forum held a symposium for young scientists (under 35) with six speakers from Moscow and Russian regions. Young scientists were awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts.

Forum program contains information on recent advances in the treatment of cardiovascular disease and the most relevant problems in medical science and practice in cardiology. The scientific program of the Forum was very interesting to all professionals.

Diploma of Honor cardiologist for the merits in the development of cardiology services was established by Organizing Committee of the Forum. During the opening ceremony the Diploma of Honor Cardiologist and gifts were presented to two cardiologists (Kovalenko, A.I., Clinical Hospital № 81 and Trushin V.I., outpatient clinic № 197).

The Forum exhibition was attended by 45 exhibitors. Stand of the Organizing Committee was very popular at the Forum. Souvenirs, newsletters and scientific literature were presented on the stand. The exhibition was attended by four publishers. The exhibition of medicines, medical devices, advanced information technology and specialized publications had been closely connected with the scientific program of the Forum. Forum participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest drugs on the exhibition and get objective information about the clinical effectiveness of drugs in the symposia, debates, seminars and lectures.

The Organizing Committee of the Forum organized a broad social program. Registration of the participants was free. During the opening ceremony a concert of classical music was organized. A banquet for all participants and delegates and concert program were organized after the scientific sessions on the first day of the Forum. Also there was free wi-fi during the forum. All delegates received certificates of Forum participants. In the administrative and technical support of the Forum were involved 126 people.
